Math a cappella in your face :)
Ok, I am biased since I am a member of the Klein Four -- heck... I am a cofounder of it! But I really think the Klein Four has something special. I wouldn't call us a band, an a cappella group or the like. We like to call ourselves a variety group. Some of you may have seen us on collegehumor.com singing "Finite Simple Group (of order 2)" at the department's holiday party -- the video that gave us immediate world praise (see the Rave on the website) -- or "Altoids Challenge" where Matt eats an entire box of Altoids at once, or maybe even Clark's "Freestyle walking" video. There are many videos to come -- the great ideas will never run out!

Recently we've released our very first CD "Musical Fruitcake" on sale at www.cafepress.com/kleinfour . The CD consists of 10 original songs and 4 parodies written about mathematics. You may think that this a nerdy thing to do (and you might be right) or that nothing good can come out of this, but that's where you are wrong. I feel our lyrics (mostly written by Matt -- Lemma by Kal) use many math puns, but unlike many mathematical songs if you know no math at all you can still understand the song's meaning. Hopefully one of you reading this can post a review of our CD -- I feel like you will feel this is the case.

This summer the Klein Four will be recording a music video for a song from "Musical Fruitcake" along with more hilarious videos of the Klein Four's hijinxes (e.g., clark throwing a potato the length of a soccer field), and we will be recording another CD "The Elements" showcasing each member's musical talents -- from Clark's guitar playing to Matt's outstanding piano talents. Stay tuned and enjoy K4! - Scott , posted 02/24/06
