I met up with my friend Adam from college the first time I experienced Japonais. It was a neally neat place: very big and open, modern asian decor. They had some cool dishes, like the Hot Rock Steak, where you actually cook your own little pieces of meat on a (you guessed it!) HOT rock. Then there was the crab claws with shrimp mousse, really awesome. We finished off with a fruit soup that had sorbet and various fruit piled into a coconut shell. Everything was served beautifully. Afterwards we walked down to the lounge that had a really warm atmosphere, very tropical. I thougth I was back at South Beach with the water right outside the windows. Everyone there was smiling and happy, had a great vibe! I highly suggest it for any occasion, or just catching up with an old friend. ;) - Jule , posted 04/19/06 |
