I was told Coobah (Southport, just off the L) has cool cuban/latino/reggae/? breaks with a laid back atmosphere. When I was visiting Chicago it was recommended by a stranger on the L and it lived up to its billing. Tuesday night had $5 pitchers of Sangria which made about 4 drinks. Don't know if that's a regular thing but holy cow. Less than a club but more than a bar - nobody full out dancing but the vibe was hopping. - mongo , posted 04/21/05 |
