On the next 2 Saturdays (March 29th and April 5th) from 2-6pm we need volunteers to help transform the gallery for the Uptown Multicultural Arts Center on the 3rd floor of the American Indian Center (located at 1630 w Wilson).

Work entails:
1. Moving stuff and organizing materials into storage
2. Sweeping and vacuuming the entire floor space
3. Setting up the computer networks
4. Eventually painting murals and decorating the gallery

We are working to get a crew of people together who share the common vision of transforming the space into a lively community center that promotes culture and the arts and who are motivated to get the building up and running as quickly as possible.

If you want to help with moving and cleaning then bring work clothes because some of the stuff is pretty dusty.

2008 WORLD PEACE AND FREEDOM FEST CHICAGO MEETING
Sunday March 30th (@ 5pm)

The goal is to get the space together by Sunday March 30th in order to hold the next meeting for the Peace and Freedom Festival in the upstairs ballroom.

If you would like to help out please let me know.

Thanks!

Mike
